  Phone policy

We will bill your health plan for specific types of phone calls with your health care provider, if it is to provide care in place of an office visit.

Calling may save you the time and inconvenience of bringing your child to the office.

We will not bill for advice given to you by our medical support staff (nurses and medical assistants).

Forms

We request 24 hours to complete forms for sports/camp physicals, immunizations, and day care.

Prescriptions

Call your pharmacy for prescription refills. We need 24 hours to process the refill request from the pharmacist.

A provider is always available to talk to you!

The office is closed weekdays between 12:00 and 12:40 pm for lunch.  Our phones are answered by our answering service weekdays between 12:00 and 1:00 pm, please call back after 1:00 pm.

On weekends and holidays we are open to see sick children between 9:00 am and 10:30 am.  However, our phones are answered by our answering service.  If you need to be seen on a weekend or holiday during walk-in hours, please use the south entrance (back of the building) and we will buzz you in.

Many problems may be solved over the phone. We are happy to provide this service, but please note that it against the policy of this clinic to treat by phone when a child has a serious illness or has never been seen in our office.

Even when the office is closed, an answering service is available to make sure your child receives excellent care. Please call any time your child is ill or injured and the on-call provider will call you back, but save routine calls and medication refill requests for regular office hours.
